An Overview of Artist's Artwork

Typically Peter Clare's work covers an unusually wide range of subject matter for a contemporary artist. You will find paintings, large and small, mostly acrylic on canvas, on subjects as diverse as the Challenges of War, Still lifes, Portraits, Landscapes, the Nude, Pagan Myth, Biblical and Christian stories, Dreams and the ordinary daily lives of men and women or genre. Often these works are collected into themes for exhibition purposes of which the most important are 'The Journey', 'The Saint Matthew' and the 'Green' cycles which can be viewed extensively on their own pages in this website.

Here, however, we show a few paintings for a quick overview of his work covering many of these subject areas.
